Dad, you have been gone for 1 year...
Dad, not a day goes by without us thinking of you! Your smile and your laugh. The way that you used to play with your grand kids, the way that you showed us how to live. More than anything, we feel sorrow for our children. We feel as though they have been robbed of knowing you and will miss the great man you are. We probably don't understand the reach you still have to influence their lives form the other side of the veil. In our mortal eyes, Grandpa Trump cannot be replaced. Our lives are different without you. You are missed. You are loved. Dad, at the one year anniversary of your lost battle to ALS we celebrate your life.

Happy Fathers Day
Happy Fathers Day Dad! We miss you so much! We watched your DVD and just cried and cried! We love you!
Mom and Dad on Mothers Day 2009
Grandpa and Grandma with their grand kids on Fathers Day 2009. It's really hard to believe that this picture was taken one year ago today.
"He is not here but is risen." Our Savior lived again. The most glorious, comforting, and reassuring of all events of human history had taken place--the victory over death. The pain and agony of Gethsemane and Calvary had been wiped away. The salvation of mankind had been secured. The Fall of Adam had been reclaimed.
The empty tomb that first Easter morning was the answer to Job's question, "If a man die, shall he live again?" To all within the sound of my voice, I declare, If a man die, he shall live again. We know, for we have the light of revealed truth.
"For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead."
-President Thomas S. Monson

Post your Memories & Stories
We have started this blog so that those who would like to share their thoughts, memories, and feelings can do so. Please post them in the comments section. It is our hope that this blog will become a great tribute to a man who always made it a point to be in the right place, doing what he was supposed to be doing.
If you're having trouble getting started, here are a few thought primers:
- Share your feelings about Roland.
- Share with us your "Roland" story.
- How has Roland shaped your life?
We realize that there are many of his dear friends that will not be able to make it to his funeral. Please use this as a way to participate.
Thank you,
The Roland Trump Family
